iRead

Assalamualaikum wbh and good day,

I have been spending the pass few weeks reading and finished reading a number of books. Most of them are about Steve Jobs. To be honest I insanely admire this guy when I first read his infamous commencement speech in Stanford back in 2005 in a Fortune magazine.
I've been subscribing the magazine ever since. As a Muslim, I think this is how we're suppose to look at our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW too. To us Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is Steve Jobs to iGuys. The similar charisma, the similar charm. Only that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the real chosen one, while Steve Jobs was not lucky enough to be granted the guidance, and therefore the Prophet's stand is higher than his. In fact in many many ways Steve Jobs is much at fault, while Prophet Muhammad is perfect, free from flaw, as promised by Allah. Peace be upon him.

It's not his (Jobs) failure, though. But partly we are the one who should be found guilty. In his last moments of life he did looking for some real meaning of life, in which we Muslims were told about it for more than 1400 years ago. Our purpose of life is indeed to serve Allah, for which good deed shall be repaid with heaven, and bad deed shall be repaid with hell fire. Jobs, for many who had read his autobiography, believed in Buddhism, even when I'm not certain if he'd praying altar in his home. He believed in karma. He believed in life after death. Unfortunately he didn't learn it through the perspective of Islam. I wonder if he'll be a Muslim upon learning about it in the Quran. If Muslims could be a good example to him. His biological dad was certainly not one.

Muslims, let's spread the good words of Islam. Let's be the example for our fellow human kind. We've been terrorizing Islam in our own way for all this while. Don't let Allah's wrath to fall upon us all. Let's contribute in our own way. Let's start with people around us.

Dan manusia itu disibukkan oleh apa yang dicintainya.

Wassalam.
